Privacy policy
At Babou Handmade we treat your data with the same care we put into every piece. Here we explain, clearly and in layers (as recommended by the Spanish Data Protection Agency), what we do with it. Last updated: 13 July 2026.

What data do we process?
Only what you give us through the contact form: name, email address, enquiry type and your message. If you accept analytics cookies, we also process aggregated browsing data (pages visited, device). If you interact with our Instagram profile, that processing is also governed by Meta’s privacy policy.
For what purpose?
To manage and answer your enquiry. That is the form’s only purpose. If you accept analytics cookies, we measure website usage statistically to improve it. We do not build profiles or make automated decisions with your data, and we never use it for advertising.
What is the legal basis?
Your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you give by ticking the box and submitting the form. If your enquiry is the first step of a custom order, processing is also based on pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR). Analytics cookies equally rely on your consent, given or refused in the cookie notice.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hola@babouhandmade.com, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
What if you do not provide the data?
The required form fields are the minimum we need: without your name and email we simply could not reply to you. We ask for nothing else because we do not need it (data minimisation principle).
How long do we keep your data?
For as long as needed to answer your enquiry and then for up to one year in case you make related enquiries. After that it is deleted, remaining blocked only for the limitation periods of any legal liability (art. 32 LOPDGDD).
Who do we share your data with?
We do not share your data with third parties, except where legally required. To operate we use providers acting as data processors under the corresponding agreements: our web hosting provider (servers in the EU) and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics).
Are there international transfers?
Only if you accept analytics cookies: Google may transfer data to the United States under the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (10 July 2023), of which Google LLC is a participant. See Google’s privacy information for details.
What are your rights?
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to hola@babouhandmade.com. We will reply within one month at most, free of charge.
If you believe we have not handled your rights properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
What about cookies?
We use technical (necessary) cookies and, only with your consent, analytics cookies to measure website usage. You can accept them, refuse them or change your mind at any time from the site’s cookie manager. Nothing is installed before you decide.

If this policy changes (due to legal or technical updates), we will publish it here with an updated date. Relevant changes affecting your consent will be asked for again.
