Accessibility

This site is made by very few hands, and we want everyone to be able to use it: with a mouse, with a keyboard, with a screen reader, with the phone held close to your face, or with motion turned down because animations make you dizzy.

Here’s what we’ve taken care of and what we haven’t. No medals: the second part is written down too.

What we’ve taken care of

• Contrast. Text, field borders and error messages read clearly against the background, including the pink and green notices.
• Keyboard. You can move through the menu, open the dropdown, fill in the form and send it without touching a mouse. And you can always see where you are: focus is marked, never hidden.
• Screen readers. Photos carry descriptions, buttons say what they do, and form errors are announced as they appear instead of sitting there in silence.
• Fingers, not pointers. Tappable buttons and links are at least 44 pixels, which is what an actual finger takes up.
• Motion. If you have “reduce motion” switched on in your phone or computer, the site stops animating by itself. And if you haven’t, but today you fancy some calm, the switch is right here.
• Videos. The tutorial ones don’t play on their own: you start them when you want, with their controls and their sound. The one on the homepage has no sound and stops with the switch.
• No walls. There’s no captcha on the form. Nobody has to decipher crooked letters or hunt for traffic lights just to write to us.

What we haven’t done yet

• We haven’t had an external audit. What’s here we checked ourselves, with automated tools and by hand. That’s good, but it isn’t the same as an expert review, and we don’t want to wear a badge nobody gave us.
• The instruction PDFs are in Spanish, even if you’re reading the site in Catalan or English.
• The videos have no captions. There’s no voice-over, so you’re not missing any spoken explanation: the full step by step is written in each craft’s PDF.

If something doesn’t work for you

Write to us. Really: we answer and we fix it. You don’t need technical words or to know which rule is being broken; just tell us what you were trying to do and where you got stuck, and that’s plenty for us to get going.
